Itinerary

Cranbourne Gardens: Featured Destination in Mornington Peninsula Day Tour

Cranbourne Gardens, located about a 50-minute drive from Melbourne’s city centre, is home to over 170,000 distinct native plants of incredible beauty and diversity. They will be placed in settings that showcase the spirit of Australia’s diverse landscapes, ranging from the Red Centre to the coast.
The Australian Garden has 11 areas and facilities, including a tourist kiosk at the northern end, boardwalks and observation platforms on Howson and Gibson Hills, and an amphitheatre for educational events and performances.
It’s a site where you may discover the evolving connections among people, plants, and landscapes. The Australian Garden also provides inspiration and advice on how to employ Australian flora in your garden.

Heronswood: Historic Gardens and Gardening Legacy

Heronswood is a beautiful old home in Dromana with two hectares of manicured grounds. It is the headquarters of the Digger’s Club, Australia’s most prestigious gardening group committed to conserving heritage seeds and the best gardening practices.
The gardens feature gorgeous perennial and annual borders, as well as kitchen and vegetable parterre gardens, which will inspire cooks and gardeners.

Cruden Farm: Iconic Green Spaces and Seasonal Delights

Cruden Farm is one of Victoria’s most vibrant green places. It is a unique public leisure area left by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch for the people to enjoy, which is currently administered by a charity trust.
Cruden Farm’s major feature is the garden, and its signature picture and component is the main driveway, which is filled with over 100 lemon-scented gum trees. There are several gardens to admire, each with its own unique style, plants, and mood. Each section was carefully developed by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch and Michael Morrison. To this day, Michael is carrying out Dame Elisabeth’s long-term intentions for various portions of the garden. Cruden Farm varies drastically with the seasons, so it’s worth coming to see the changing panoramas throughout the year.
The Picking Garden at Cruden Farm truly reflects the changing seasons, and during the spring and summer, it is alive with hundreds of blossoms and wonderful colour. As the youngsters grew older, Dame Elisabeth replaced fruit and vegetables with an increasing number of blossoms. Edna Walling initially created the Walled Garden, which has changed since it was first planted in the early 1930s. There are other particular spots to explore, including the ‘outside garden’ and plantation regions.

Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens: Enchanting Sensory Experiences

Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens is a 25-acre property with unique mazes and superb woodland gardens that stimulate the senses, celebrate the seasons, and highlight the inherent beauty of trees and plants. A wonderful garden experience that teaches while also creating a sense of joy and wonder. An globally renowned and enchanting destination of excellence to enjoy with friends and family. A sustainable garden with significant significance for future generations.
